Kurogeya Opens at Kaohsiung Dream Mall: Japanese Hotpot from NT$380 with Free Iberico Pork Opening Special

Kanpai Group's Japanese hotpot brand "Kurogeya" (黑毛屋) has officially landed at Kaohsiung Dream Mall! The soft opening begins August 7, with the grand opening on August 10. To celebrate, diners who visit between August 10-12 and follow Kurogeya's official Instagram will receive a complimentary serving of Spanish Bellota Iberico Pork (worth NT$190). Plus, from August 10-14, every NT$1,000 spent earns you a free Aomori Apple Italian Gelato.

Kaohsiung's North-South Dual Core Strategy

Kanpai Group is betting big on Kaohsiung's "north-south dual core" development, positioning Dream Mall as a key commercial hub in South Kaohsiung. Following its debut at Hanshin Arena in North Kaohsiung late last year, Kurogeya now brings its affordable Japanese hotpot concept southward. With set meals starting from just NT$380, the brand offers four signature Japanese styles — shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, Hakata-style chicken hotpot, and motsu-nabe (offal hotpot) — all served as individual pots with premium ingredients including Japanese Wagyu, PURE RARE Finnish pork, and Iberico pork, finished off with zosui (rice porridge) or noodles.

Summer-Exclusive Tomato Hotpot & Aomori Apple Gelato

For the summer season, Kurogeya is offering a limited-time "Tomato Hotpot" (NT$480) available through the end of September. The tangy-sweet broth is slow-simmered from fresh tomatoes and vegetables, followed by chilled plum somen dipping noodles for a refreshing finish. The brand has also partnered with Tienmu's popular gelato shop On the Road to create an exclusive Aomori Apple Italian Gelato, made with authentic Aomori apple juice and studded with crisp apple chunks for a naturally sweet-tart, multi-layered treat — available at all Kurogeya locations from August 7.
