Summer weekends in Kaohsiung are packed with distinctive festivals, and this year is no exception! Now in its third year, the '2026 Kaohsiung Hi-Hi Cocktail Festival' returns on August 29–30, bringing together over 70 specialty bars, bistro restaurants, and gourmet food trucks, alongside internationally renowned bartenders from Japan and South Korea — all combining to create the ultimate summer cocktail and culinary experience. General admission to the festival grounds is completely free, with alcoholic beverages available via a wristband and cocktail voucher system. Early-bird tickets are now on sale through ibon.

Kaohsiung City Government's Tourism Bureau has been actively developing the city's night-time economy in recent years, using signature events to shape the Love River's tourism brand. This year's festival takes place along the Hexi Road section of the Love River, with an expanded scale featuring over 50 specialty bars and more than 20 popular food trucks. International bartenders from Japan and South Korea will join Taiwan's heavyweight mixologists for spectacular cocktail showcases and creative drink offerings.

Visitors can stroll along the Love River, savouring craft cocktails and gourmet bites against a backdrop of enchanting night-time scenery, while soaking up Kaohsiung's unique harbour charm and cocktail culture. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available on-site, ensuring friends and families of all ages can enjoy the summer evening atmosphere together.

While entry to the festival grounds is free, alcoholic beverage redemption requires the purchase of a festival wristband and cocktail vouchers, with age verification checks in place.
