The Bib Gourmand award spotlights restaurants and stalls that deliver outstanding, high-quality cooking at accessible prices — exactly what savvy Singaporean diners are always hunting for.
Among the fresh entries are some deeply rooted heritage names. Tian Nan Xing Minced Meat Pork Noodle is a 100-year-old bak chor mee institution now run by its third and fourth generations. Hup Kee Fried Oyster Omelette began as a humble street cart half a century ago. And Seng Kee Black Chicken Herbal Soup has been drawing devoted crowds for 60 years with its fragrant, double-boiled herbal broths.
Modern concepts and regional flavours also earned their place. King of Laksa serves a silky, lighter coconut broth with low-carb noodle options. Rajarani Thosai turns out freshly griddled thosai with nearly 20 filling varieties. Meanwhile, Hunan specialist Xiangyee imports mountain-grown produce and house-smoked cured meats straight from its home province in China.
