Singapore's north-east is getting a massive new playground — the Punggol Regional Sports Centre is set to open before the end of 2026, bringing the island's first public infinity pool, a 5,000-seat football stadium, and facilities for everything from archery to pickleball.

Punggol may be known as Singapore's newest digital district, but it's rapidly shaping up as far more than a tech hub. In quick succession, the eco-town has welcomed forested walking trails, a sprawling hawker centre with over 40 food stalls, and even a boutique hotel offering loft-style rooms with Coney Island views. The upcoming sports complex is the latest piece in Punggol's transformation into one of the island's most liveable neighbourhoods.

The headline attraction? Singapore's first-ever infinity pool at a public sports facility — no staycation booking required for those resort-style water views. It's one of five pools housed within the Punggol Swimming Complex, which also includes a competition-grade Olympic pool.

Indoor sports enthusiasts will find plenty to love: a cavernous hall with 20 badminton courts (five of which convert for pickleball), plus dedicated tennis courts. Football fans get a 5,000-seat stadium and an indoor futsal court for those who prefer the smooth-surface game.

What really sets this neighbourhood sports centre apart are the unexpected additions — a water sports centre likely offering kayaking and wakeboarding, and a purpose-built archery training facility. And it's all set against the tranquil backdrop of Punggol Waterway, with the complex positioned right on the riverbank.

The centre sits at 11 Sentul Crescent, directly across from Sam Kee LRT station — just one stop from Punggol MRT. With the building looking near-complete, the grand opening can't be far off.
