Product Details

When visiting Singapore, the City Tours Captain Explorer Duck Tour is the perfect choice to experience both the land and sea scenery of this garden city in one go. It offers tourists a unique amphibious sightseeing experience, allowing you to discover the charm of Singapore from a brand new perspective.

The Captain Explorer Duck Tour is meticulously converted from a retired WWII amphibious military vehicle. While retaining the sturdy structure of the vehicle, it has been cleverly decorated to resemble a cute duck, preserving its historical charm while adding a playful touch, making it a favourite among children and adults alike.

The entire tour lasts about 1 hour, starting from the designated boarding point #01‑207 at Marina Square Shopping Mall. It is conveniently accessible via the MRT; take the Yellow Line to Promenade Station, exit at A, and walk just a few minutes to reach the location.

At the start of the tour, the duck boat slowly sets off, beginning a city exploration journey on land. Along the way, you will pass iconic landmarks such as the Parliament House, the Supreme Court, and the City Hall. These buildings, each with distinct architectural styles, embody Singapore's history and political heritage. With the guide's vivid commentary, you can gain deeper insights into the stories and culture behind them.

Next comes the thrilling moment: the duck boat heads towards the Marina Bay waters, plunging into the water with a splash of joyful spray, drawing cheers from the passengers. As the hustle and bustle of the city fades away, you are greeted by the shimmering waters of Marina Bay. The Gardens by the Bay along the shore resembles a floating dream garden, with its soaring Supertrees shrouded in mist, exuding an air of mystery; the magnificent Marina Bay Sands, with its unique architectural design and SkyPark, is truly awe‑inspiring; the distinctive Helix Bridge, inspired by the double‑helix structure of DNA, not only serves as a vital link between the two banks but also stands as a masterpiece of technological and artistic brilliance.

As the duck boat approaches the mouth of the Singapore River, you will see Singapore's iconic landmark—the Merlion statue. This mythical creature, with a lion's head and a fish's body, symbolises Singapore, representing its journey from a humble fishing village to a cosmopolitan metropolis. Nearby, the durian‑shaped Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay also stands out with its unique appearance, making it a striking highlight along the Marina Bay waterfront. On the way back, you can also catch a glimpse of the Singapore Flyer, Asia's largest observation wheel, standing quietly as it overlooks the bustling city below.

The boat is equipped with professional and enthusiastic guides who provide bilingual commentary in Chinese and English. They have an in‑depth knowledge of Singapore's history, culture, and architecture. At every stop, they bring the stories behind each attraction to life, ensuring your journey is not only filled with beautiful sights but also enriched with knowledge.

The duck boat operates from 9:00 to 18:30, with departures every hour (no service at 12:30). It runs from Tuesday to Sunday as well as on public holidays, and is closed on Mondays. Remember to book your tickets in advance on the official website or major travel platforms, and exchange them on‑site beforehand. Seats are allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis, so boarding early allows you to secure the best vantage points to fully enjoy this unique Singapore experience.
