Tour de France 2026 Finishes in Paris This Sunday: Where and When to Watch the Riders at Montmartre
Another chance to see the impressive peloton weave through the narrow streets of the Parisian Butte.
The suffering is nearly over for the Tour de France cyclists, as the 113th edition wraps up this Sunday 26 July in Paris. The finish line will once again be on the Champs-Élysées, with a detour through Montmartre — a new tradition since the 2024 Olympic Games — offering a chance to watch the impressive peloton navigate the tiny streets of the Parisian Butte. Atmosphere guaranteed!
As for timings, the start is scheduled for 4:15pm from Thoiry, with an expected finish on the Champs-Élysées around 7:25pm. The riders will enter Paris shortly before 6pm, passing the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Place de la Concorde before tackling the 18th arrondissement around 6:45pm for three laps of the Montmartre climb (a 6.5km route with a 6.5% gradient), including the iconic tightly-packed ascent of Rue Lepic.
Of course, you'll need to arrive much earlier to secure the best viewing spots. The narrow pavements of Rue Lepic will likely be packed from early morning, as will the vantage points in front of the Sacré-Cœur, though Rue Lamarck and Rue Caulaincourt should be somewhat more manageable.
Please note: car traffic will be banned from 2pm to 8pm across the entire race route, and several metro stations around Concorde will be closed. All restrictions are detailed on the Paris City Hall website.
