About

【Exhibition Overview】

The Chengdu International Musical Instrument Exhibition (Musical Chengdu) is held in Chengdu, the most representative international metropolis in western China. With its vast market reach and mature convention and exhibition facilities, Chengdu serves as the core frontier for musical instrument display, exchange, sales and procurement in the western region. The exhibition's influence covers Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, as well as Ningxia, Tibet, Xinjiang and other vast areas.

Chengdu has a population of 16 million, making it one of the five major cities in China with a national music industry base. The city boasts a solid mass foundation for music culture and has produced many outstanding musical talents, including internationally renowned singers such as Liao Changyong, and in recent years, well-known young domestic singers such as Li Yuchun, Zhang Liangying, Tan Weiwei, Yu Kewei, Zhang Jie and Zhao Lei.

With a total population of 83 million in Sichuan Province, the market demand and development potential for musical instruments are immense. The exhibition aims to establish a musical instrument industry benchmark, musical instrument cultural benchmark and music communication benchmark with distinctive Chengdu characteristics.

The exhibition actively responds to Chengdu's urban goal of building a "City of Music", supporting Chengdu's development into an international music capital and a national cultural and creative centre. It guides the convergence of musical instrument and performing arts industry resources in Chengdu, radiates from Chengdu to the western region, and promotes exchange, procurement and trade development in the musical instrument industry.
