With the core theme of "Supporting Dual Carbon & Powering the Future with Energy Storage", this event systematically interprets the development progress and future trends of the new energy storage industry, comprehensively showcases the latest product development and application trends in the energy storage sector both domestically and internationally, focuses on the development of green energy, and aims to contribute to the early realisation of the Dual Carbon goals.
【Event Scale】
The exhibition area of this edition reaches 36,000 square metres, with over 600 exhibitors expected to participate. The current online exhibitor directory already includes 265 exhibitors. During the same period, the event will also host multiple high-level thematic forums and sub-forum activities.
【Industry Background】
At present, the global energy revolution is accelerating at an unprecedented pace, and promoting the energy revolution and building a new-type power system have become a global consensus. As the core link that coordinates the interaction of "source, grid, load and storage" and balances dynamic power supply and demand, new energy storage serves as a vital pillar supporting China's national strategy of achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
After continuous nurturing through multi-dimensional national policies during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, supported by policy guidance, industrial support and demonstration applications in the "14th Five-Year Plan" phase, the new energy storage industry has transitioned from the early stage of commercialisation to the stage of large-scale application. It is now ushering in a critical window of rapid development, with strong endogenous growth momentum.
In light of the current global energy market conditions, it is projected that by 2025, the combined share of wind and solar power generation will exceed 20% globally and approach 18% in China, corresponding to annual new demand for new energy storage exceeding 90GW globally and 35GW domestically. By 2030, the combined share of wind and solar power generation in China is expected to approach 30%, with corresponding annual new demand for new energy storage expected to surpass 60GW.
The new energy storage industry chain covers multiple key segments, including key materials, cell systems, inverter integration, temperature control and fire protection, supervision and operation & maintenance, scenario demonstrations, and recycling. New products, new applications and new models are continuously iterating and upgrading, bringing brand-new innovation opportunities for the large-scale, comprehensive and high-quality development of new energy storage.
Currently, as a national strategic emerging industry oriented towards the green energy system and the new-type power system, new energy storage still faces prominent challenges such as an incomplete industry standard system, demonstration application scenarios yet to be expanded, trading models and mechanisms requiring improvement, and key technologies and core processes in urgent need of breakthroughs. In order to facilitate the rapid, high-quality and stable development of the new energy storage industry and to build a high-end industry exchange and sharing platform, this Energy Storage Conference and Technology Exhibition has been launched accordingly.
