【Exhibition Overview】

    The Korea Solar Expo - Korea International Green Energy Expo (Green Energy Expo) is the largest solar energy exhibition in Korea and one of the world's top ten and Asia's top three solar energy exhibitions selected by PHOTO, an authoritative photovoltaic industry magazine.

    Founded in 2004, the exhibition is jointly organised by the Korea Photovoltaic Association, the Korea New & Renewable Energy Association, the Korea Energy News Agency, the EXCO (Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center), as well as the Daegu Metropolitan Government and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government. With overseas exhibitors accounting for over 40%, it is Korea's largest and Asia's leading international renewable energy exhibition.

    The exhibition attracts more than 300 overseas buyers from 25 countries and regions, with 30% of visitors attending to purchase products and technologies or to explore business cooperation, making it a highly influential professional energy exhibition in Korea.

【Background of the Exhibition】

    Korea is energy-deficient and relies mainly on imports. With the implementation of its "3020 Renewable Energy Plan", the Korean government plans to increase the share of renewable energy from 7% to 20% by 2030, raise new energy generation capacity to 48.7GW, and increase the annual installed capacity of the photovoltaic market from 3GW to 5GW.

【Scope of the Exhibition】

    In addition to traditional power plants, the Korean photovoltaic market covers the following types of projects:

    - Floating photovoltaic systems applied to dams and reservoirs

    - Solar farms and solar energy projects at salt fields

    - Small photovoltaic systems installed on apartment balconies
