About

【Exhibition Overview】

Egypt Fabric & Yarn Expo is a comprehensive industry platform for manufacturers, merchants and suppliers, helping different enterprises to complete business matching, cooperation, contract signing and trade exchanges during this large-scale event.

As a well-established professional textile and yarn exhibition in the African region, it has greatly boosted Egypt's local economic development. This edition of the exhibition has invited 650 exhibitors from different countries, with the number of professional visitors reaching 35,000.

As a member of the Middle East and North Africa region, Egypt is one of the more economically and industrially developed countries in Africa. It has an open market economy with increasingly diversified industries, and there is market demand for textiles of high, medium and low grades. Egypt is one of the first African countries to establish diplomatic relations with China. In recent years, Sino-Egyptian economic and trade cooperation has maintained a rapid and healthy growth momentum, and this exhibition is also regarded as an excellent shortcut for enterprises to enter the African market.

【Exhibiting Value】

    - It is the most professional textile fabrics and accessories industry event in North Africa and the Middle East. The exhibition has been successfully held for more than 20 editions and is one of the leading textile industry exhibitions in Africa in terms of scale and influence. It has become a core channel for more than 300,000 professional buyers in Africa to conduct concentrated procurement and understand market trends. The exhibition has now been upgraded to a comprehensive full-industry-chain show covering home textiles, fabrics, accessories and yarns, garments and textile machinery, allowing exhibitors to access high-quality buyer resources across multiple sectors.

    - Driven by local market demand in Egypt, it is a golden opportunity for Chinese suppliers to explore the market. Egypt's textile industry accounts for 3% of the country's GDP and approximately 22% of the manufacturing sector, employing about 30% of the nation's industrial workforce. Although Egypt has the largest cotton and textile industry cluster in Africa, it is weak in the manufacturing of high-end fabrics, functional materials and synthetic fibres, and such products need to be imported in large quantities — 70% of yarn and fabric and 80% of accessories rely on imports. China is Egypt's primary target country for expanding import trade. For Chinese enterprises, participating in this exhibition is a strategic gateway to enter this huge import market.

    - Leveraging its trade hub location covering Asia, Africa and Europe. Egypt spans both Asia and Africa, facing Europe directly across the Mediterranean to the north. The Suez Canal, as a global shipping shortcut, directly connects the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. With its natural logistics hub advantages, Egypt can cover a huge market of nearly 600 million people in the Middle East and North Africa. As a BRICS member and a key hub of the Belt and Road Initiative, Egypt is also fully committed to building a future-oriented manufacturing and trade centre through new free zone policies and international cooperation agreements.

    - Enjoy tariff benefits brought by international trade agreements. Egypt has signed free trade agreements with the EU, the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and Arab countries, and has also signed Qualified Industrial Zone (QIZ) agreements with Israel and the United States, which can effectively circumvent trade barriers, with tariffs on exports to Europe and the US significantly reduced or even zero. Exhibiting enterprises can leverage Egypt's trade preferences to sell their products to a broader international market.

    - Highly effective participation with high merchant satisfaction. According to statistics from previous editions, 46% of manufacturers accumulated 10 to 50 customers, 29% accumulated 51 to 100 customers, the on-site contract signing rate reached 62%, 83% of exhibitors achieved their target sales, 70% of exhibitors expressed great satisfaction with the exhibition results, and 93% of exhibitors indicated willingness to participate again.

【Notable Exhibitors】

This exhibition has attracted a number of Chinese brands to participate, including Kairuibo, Qida and Shengfa.
