Details
About【Exhibition Overview】
This exhibition, abbreviated as GLEE, was first established in 1974 and is jointly organised by the Garden & Outdoor Leisure Association, the British Hardware Federation, and the Homeware Manufacturers Association.
GLEE is currently a leading professional trade exhibition in the European garden and hardware sector, with its exhibition scale and industry influence ranking among the top in the global flower and garden trade shows.
The exhibition attracts suppliers from around the world, facilitating business negotiations and procurement cooperation within the industry. Hardware tools, garden and horticulture products, and pet supplies manufactured by Chinese factories, with their outstanding quality and competitive prices, have gained the favour of numerous customers in the UK and across Europe.
【Industry Background】
Over 87% of households in the UK have a private garden, and the average British family spends £150 on garden maintenance and decoration, with more than two-thirds of adults visiting a botanical garden at least once a year.
The UK's horticulture and landscaping-related industries contribute approximately £24.2 billion to the country's GDP and create as many as 570,000 jobs in the UK. The British passion for home renovation has gradually extended to the garden sector, further stimulating the development of the related market.
Many garden supplies markets in the UK have now matured, such as barbecue equipment, greenhouse equipment, and garden furniture. The pursuit of quality materials and novel designs is a major driving force behind the growth of industry transactions.
Fast-growing areas within the industry include garden rooms and garden decoration, while artificial turf is also gaining increasing popularity among consumers. The industry is currently showing a clear trend, with people placing greater emphasis on the entertainment, social, and dining functions of gardens, which in turn drives the continued development of the garden-related market.
