The Bangkok Wonderful Pearl Cruise is a luxury vessel newly launched in 2015 among the Chao Phraya River cruise fleet. The ship is spacious and comprises three decks: the first deck is indoor, the second deck is divided into an indoor section and an outdoor area at the bow, and the top deck is open‑air. An escalator connects the first and second decks, while stairs lead from the second to the third deck. The top deck features a colourful fountain, and each deck hosts live band performances, ladyboy cabaret shows or traditional Thai classical dance.

Also known as Wat Arun, it is a temple dedicated to King Taksin, the 41st monarch of Thailand and a national hero. First built during the Ayutthaya Kingdom, it was originally named Wat Makok, then later renamed Wat Chaeng. Situated on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River in Thonburi, the twin city of Bangkok, it is a renowned Thai temple and one of the royal temples of Thailand.

How to Exchange Your Ticket for the Bangkok Wonderful Pearl Cruise

Ticket exchange and boarding: The boarding pier is located at Gate 2 of the River City Shopping Complex. The ticket exchange counter is immediately to the right of Gate 2; step out of Gate 2 and you will see Pier 2, where both the Grand Pearl and Wonderful Pearl cruises dock for boarding.

1. Take the BTS to Saphan Taksin Station and exit at Exit 1
2. Walk to Sathon Fang Pha Nakhon Pier and board any boat (any flag colour) to get off at Marine Department Express Boat Pier (N4)
3. Walk 350 metres to River City Shopping Complex – about five minutes

Take the MRT to Hua Lamphong Station, exit at Exit 1, then take a taxi to River City – approximately 8‑15 minutes.
