Trip Introduction
Step into the heart of Tokyo and travel to Taiwan in an instant! From 3 to 6 September 2026, the "Yatai Festival" will take over Hibiya Park, bringing the most authentic Taiwanese night market culture to Japan in full force. Thousands of painted lanterns hang high in the night sky, their lights swaying in the breeze, set against the steam of delicious food and the laughter of the crowd. Walking through it feels just like strolling the alleys of Shilin Night Market – full of atmosphere and ceremony.

This year brings together Taiwan's most popular street foods, and every stall is a blast from the past. There's the fragrant "Lu Luo Han", savoury and addictive with every chew; the "grilled soup dumplings" with thin skins and tender filling, crispy golden on the bottom and bursting with juice when you bite in; and the legendary Shilin Night Market classic "Da'erzi Pai" – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, sweet without being cloying. From savoury to sweet, bite after bite, your taste buds will fly straight to the island.

What's a night market without drinks? This time we've prepared a full range of Taiwanese‑style "cooling" refreshments. The "tapioca milk tea" with rich brown sugar aroma – chewy pearls paired with smooth, creamy milk, comforting in every sip; the "fruit sour" loaded with fresh fruit chunks – tangy, sweet and refreshing, perfect for cutting through the grease and quenching your thirst. Want to unwind with a drink after work? There's also the "Super Rare! Golden Beer" waiting for you – ice‑cold and smooth, the perfect match for your snacks.

When night falls, the entire venue is lit up by countless lanterns, with red, orange, yellow and green lights weaving together into a dreamlike sea of glow. Food looks even more tempting under the lights, and smiles shine even brighter. Whether it's a date, a gathering with friends, or a solo adventure, every snap is an IG‑worthy shot full of Taiwanese charm – guaranteed to light up your social feed.

This time, we've prepared an exclusive perk for visitors – the "handheld lantern" (adults only). Carrying a lantern as you browse the night market not only adds to the atmosphere but also makes the perfect photo prop, letting you immerse yourself in the full Taiwanese night market vibe from start to finish.
