Step into the snow‑white world of Hokkaido 2026 — a one‑day tour bringing together breathtaking snowfields, hidden night scenery and fairytale illuminations! A compact group of 6 travellers sets off to explore the classic sights of Furano and Biei, enjoying the majestic snowscapes of northern Hokkaido by day and chasing the exclusive night illumination spectacles by dusk — collecting the most moving winter images of Hokkaido all at once.

In winter, Shikisai no Oka sheds its blossoms and transforms into an endless expanse of silver‑white hills, with snowfields stretching to the edge of the mountains. For those who wish to quietly admire the snow country scenery, take a leisurely stroll through the park; for thrill‑seekers, enjoy the optional snowmobile ride at your own expense, speeding across the pure white landscape and feeling the exhilarating blend of cold wind and snowy views. The tour offers flexible options — choose between a stroll through the town in front of Biei Station or playing in the snow at Shikisai no Oka, tailoring the pace of your journey as you wish.

Next, head to Biei's hidden gem, Blue Pond — also the key night‑time attraction of this tour. With trees covered in snow and the illumination switched on, the pond water refracts layers of deep blue light, with dead trees standing in the snowfield by the lakeshore. The cool blue glow against the pristine white snow creates a mysterious atmosphere unlike anything in the mortal world — a dreamy winter‑exclusive spectacle of Hokkaido.

As night gradually falls, head to Furano's Ningle Terrace. Triangular log cabins are scattered amongst the forest, with warm yellow lights flickering on one by one. The cosy handmade craft shops surrounded by thick snow are heart‑warming and healing. Strolling along the forest path feels like entering a fairytale realm where the elves of the snow country reside. Should traffic control prevent a visit, the tour will be adjusted to the Blue Pond illumination instead, ensuring you still have the chance to enjoy the exclusive night scenery.

Along the way, you will also encounter classic snowscapes such as the Biei Christmas Tree and Shirahige Falls. A solitary tree standing in the snowfield, an ice waterfall reflecting the blue river — every spot is a perfect photo opportunity. Note the changing daylight hours of the Hokkaido winter, as the light and shadows differ from month to month, naturally creating a variety of unique charms.

A 6‑person small group offers flexibility and comfort — no squeezing into large tour buses. Wander across pure white hills by day, check in at northern Hokkaido's renowned snow scenery, and chase the exclusive illumination romance by night. Visiting Hokkaido in winter 2026? Don't miss this dreamy illumination tour of Furano and Biei, and collect the complete snow country daylight scenery and glowing night views into your travel memories!
