Seoraksan is the most famous national park in Korea. The mountains and waters complement each other beautifully, creating scenery that feels like a gift from heaven!  The peaks belong to the Taebaek Mountain Range, with the main peak, Daecheongbong, standing at 1,708 metres above sea level. Seoraksan was designated as Natural Monument Protection Zone (기념물보호구) No. 117 in 1965, and Seoraksan National Park was established.

Korea's Seoraksan (also known as Seoraksan) is the highest peak of the Taebaek Mountain Range in the eastern part of the Korean Peninsula. It is located within Korea. It is 1,708 metres above sea level, with the main peak being Daecheongbong. It is covered in snow for 5‑6 months of the year. It is a hub of forests and alpine plants, and is popular among hikers. It is a continuation of the Geumgangsan Mountains and is known as the "Southern Geumgang".

Naksansa Temple was founded by Master Uisang in the 11th year of King Munmu of Silla (671 AD). It is a tourist attraction in Yangyang, Gangwon Special Self‑Governing Province, and holds great historical value. Along with Bomunsa Temple in Ganghwa and Boriam Hermitage in Namhae, it is one of the three major sacred sites of Avalokitesvara (Gwan‑eum) in Korea. Overlooking the boundless beauty of the East Sea, Naksansa Temple is one of the Eight Scenic Views of Gwandong (eight famous attractions in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon Special Self‑Governing Province). Throughout history, countless ancient texts and poems have praised its beauty.
