Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mexico on the way to Cuernavaca. Cuernavaca is a charming town and the former home of Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés. Let your guide take you on a panoramic tour of the cathedral and Cortés Palace. Then visit Taxco, known as the ‘Silver City’, with its winding cobblestone streets, tiled‑roof buildings, cosy plazas, and a rich old‑world atmosphere steeped in centuries of history. Visit Santa Prisca Church, one of the most magnificent churches in Mexico.
You may also choose to visit an ancient mine, descending in a real mining lift and passing through a 150‑metre‑long illuminated tunnel while learning about the lives of miners from the pre‑Hispanic era. If you select the option that includes this, you will also have the chance to dine at a typical restaurant and sample local cuisine.
