Namwon Gwanghalluwon Garden is a traditional Korean pavilion garden built as a symbol of the celestial universe.

As a representative garden from the Joseon Dynasty expressing the ideal world where immortals reside, it has been designated as Scenic Spot No. 33 of Korea.

Namwon Gwanghalluwon Garden is located in Namwon‑si, Jeollabuk‑do, and is the Gwanghallu Garden built during the early Joseon period. Near Namwon Station, in the city centre, stands Gwanghallu Pavilion, where the legendary meeting of Chunhyang and Yi Mongryong took place; the entire garden encompassing Gwanghallu is collectively called Gwanghalluwon Garden.

To the north of the garden rises Gyoryongsan Mountain, while to the south boasts the treasured Geumbong Peak, with Jirisan Mountain visible in the distance.

Gwanghalluwon Garden, featuring a pond symbolising the Milky Way, Gwanghallu Pavilion symbolising the Moon Palace, and three sacred mountains representing a paradise on earth, all reflecting each other to showcase a grand cosmic view, is one of Korea's most representative traditional pavilion gardens, standing alongside Gyeonghoeru, Chokseongnu, and Bubyeoknu as the Four Great Pavilions of Korea.

Within the garden, there are structures such as Gwanghallu Pavilion, Ojakgyo Bridge, Walseoru Pavilion, Yeongjugak Pavilion, Chunhyang Hall, Chunhyang Shrine, and Wolmae House, along with ancillary facilities like craft shops and a café. Lotus flowers, symbolising earthly paradise, are planted in the pond, over which Ojakgyo Bridge, symbolising love, is built, evoking the tale of the cowherd and the weaver girl crossing the Milky Way to reunite on Chilseok (the seventh day of the seventh lunar month). The stone bridge features four rainbow‑shaped arches that allow water to flow between both sides, making it the most iconic bridge in traditional Korean gardens.

Inside Chunhyang Shrine, a portrait of Chunhyang painted by the artist Kim Un‑ho is enshrined. The Chunhyang Festival is held annually on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, Dano.
