Centering around the theme "Lake and Pagoda Reflections", this itinerary connects the classic visuals and historical depth of West Lake. Whether in the morning mist or the glow of sunset, you can experience the breathtaking beauty reminiscent of a Chinese ink painting. Paired with in‑depth commentary from a small‑group guide, the sightseeing journey becomes even more enriching. The tour offers two time slots: morning session 08:50—11:00, and afternoon session 13:50—16:00. The schedule is compact and fulfilling, suitable for travellers with limited time.

Before departure, please arrive at the entrance of Su Dongpo Memorial Hall at 08:50—9:00 or 13:50—14:00 to meet the guide and verify your information. The guide will briefly introduce the cultural stories of West Lake and the highlights of this tour, setting the cultural backdrop for the scenic experience. Then, from 09:00—9:40 or 14:00—14:40, you will board a painted pleasure boat to cruise West Lake. The entire boat ride does not include any island stops, allowing you to focus on the beauty of the lake and mountains. As the painted boat slowly glides onto the lake, the silhouette of Leifeng Pagoda gently sways on the shimmering water, resembling a flowing ink painting. Passengers can sit quietly in the boat, gazing at the stone pagodas of Three Pools Mirroring the Moon from afar, evoking the classic scene depicted on the back of the RMB banknote. Along the way, the guide will share legends of West Lake and the historical transformation of Leifeng Pagoda, allowing your sight and hearing to immerse fully in the charm of West Lake.

After the painted boat docks, the tour continues from 09:40—11:00 or 14:40—16:00 with a visit to Leifeng Pagoda. During the ascent, you can admire the woodcarvings and murals inside the pagoda, which vividly depict the legendary story of Lady White Snake, while the ancient bricks and remnants bear witness to a thousand years of history. Upon reaching the top, you can lean on the railing and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire West Lake — Su Causeway stretches across the lake like a green ribbon, Three Pools Mirroring the Moon hides amidst the blue waves, and the distant mountains and nearby waters create a layered landscape. This perfectly integrates the unique layout of "islands within the lake and lakes within the islands" with the surrounding cityscape, offering a powerful visual impact and profound joy.

The tour ends at 11:00 or 16:00, with the group dispersing within the Leifeng Pagoda scenic area. Participants may choose to return on their own or continue exploring nearby attractions such as Huagang Guanyu (Flower Harbour Fish Viewing) and Changqiao Park (Long Bridge Park), extending the wonderful West Lake experience. This small‑group tour focuses on a refined experience, avoiding the crowds of large groups. The guide provides attentive commentary throughout, allowing visitors not only to quietly admire the ink‑painting‑like lake scenery of West Lake but also to ascend to a high vantage point for a panoramic view, deeply experiencing the natural and cultural charm of Hangzhou.
Warm Reminder: The meeting point is at the entrance of Su Dongpo Memorial Hall. It is recommended to arrive 10 minutes early to avoid delaying the itinerary. The entrance ticket to Leifeng Pagoda is already included in the tour package; no additional purchase is needed. As there are many steps inside the pagoda, it is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes. Also, bringing a camera is recommended, as both the painted boat cruise and the top of Leifeng Pagoda offer excellent photo opportunities.
