The origin of the Kerið crater lake can be traced back to a volcanic eruption approximately 6,500 years ago. At that time, a magma chamber emptied and the crater collapsed, forming the crater we see today. It is renowned for the striking contrast between the deep red mineral deposits, black volcanic rocks, and the blue‑green lake water, making it a naturally beautiful attraction.

Gullfoss, also known as the Golden Waterfall, is a must‑visit attraction on the Golden Circle. It originates from Langjökull, Iceland's second largest glacier.

The waterfall first rushes down a 36‑metre gentle slope, then plunges rapidly from a 68‑metre cliff, forming a spectacular waterfall with beautiful mist that reflects a huge rainbow in the sunlight.

The Geysir geothermal area is named after the original geyser Geysir, although it is no longer active today.

The area is filled with steam vents, bubbling mud pits, and colourful ponds. The main attraction is the active Strokkur geyser, which erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, shooting a water column up to 20 metres high.
