Start your adventure from the valley station in Alpnachstad or Kriens, enjoy a leisurely 30‑minute ride on the cogwheel railway (departing from Alpnachstad), or opt for the scenic panoramic gondola lift and aerial cable car "Dragon Ride" (departing from Kriens).

Upon reaching the summit of Lucerne's famous mountain, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Swiss Alps, Lake Lucerne, and the charming cityscape from the expansive outdoor panoramic terrace or the captivating indoor panoramic gallery. Stroll to one of the three peaks of Pilatus Kulm (Esel, Oberhaupt, or Tomlishorn) and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Swiss mountains, or take a leisurely walk along the enchanting Dragon Path. Known as Dragon Mountain due to the legendary dragon said to reside there, you can delve into this fascinating myth at the Dragon World exhibition located at Pilatus Kulm. Savor delicious cuisine at the restaurants in Alpnachstad and Pilatus Kulm, including one named after Queen Victoria, who once visited the mountain.

For those who choose to take the cable car round trip from Kriens, you can participate in a range of optional leisure activities at an additional cost, including the largest rope park in Central Switzerland (suitable for visitors aged 4 and above), the thrilling Dragon Glider, or Switzerland's longest summer toboggan run (located at Fräkmüntegg station). Change to the aerial cable car "Dragon Ride" at Fräkmüntegg, which takes just 5 minutes to reach the summit of Pilatus Kulm at an altitude of 2,132 metres. Before taking the cable car back to Kriens, enjoy local cuisine at the restaurants in Krienseregg and Fräkmüntegg, adding a delicious finale to your mountain adventure.

The first uphill departure is at 08:10, and the last downhill departure to Alpnachstad is at 18:04
