Soak in a traditional Japanese‑style countryside onsen, Raku Raku no Yu, letting the soothing thermal waters ease your travel fatigue and delivering a summer‑exclusive sense of relaxation and healing!

Summer in Japan isn't just about fireworks and evening breezes—it's also about the wild thrill of mountain rapids and the gentle comfort of rural onsens. In summer 2026, unlock a Gunma‑exclusive one‑day journey to Minakami‑machi and Kawaba‑mura, where you'll immerse yourself in the exhilaration of rafting, soak in mountain hot springs, and discover a new blend of dynamic and calming Japanese summer experiences—bidding farewell to stuffy heat and embracing the refreshing mountain air.

The tour centres on the Tone River's white‑water rafting, a top‑tier rafting destination in Japan. Fed by clear snowmelt from the mountains, the river winds through spectacular gorges with crystal‑clear water. Led by professional instructors throughout, you'll ride an inflatable raft through rapids and torrents for a 90‑minute immersive water adventure, with splashes flying as you experience heart‑pounding speed and excitement. The scenery varies with the seasons—fresh greenery in early summer, cool escapes in midsummer, and vibrant autumn foliage—promising unforgettable memories tailored to friends, couples, or families alike.

After the exhilarating rafting session, head to Kanto's beloved hidden‑gem roadside station, Kawaba Denen Hiroba, for a rest and recharge. Dubbed the "roadside station you'll want to revisit," it is surrounded by green hills and farmland, offering fresh air and soothing scenery. More than just a stopover, it's an all‑round leisure spot featuring local fresh produce and speciality foods, its own bakery, brewery, themed cafés, and family‑friendly lawns—perfect for a one‑stop shopping, dining, leisure, and family fun experience, all while soaking in Gunma's rustic charm.

To close the journey, uncover the healing moments of Raku Raku no Yu, a countryside onsen right next to the roadside station. This natural day‑trip hot spring features a mild alkaline simple spring water that soothes tired muscles and relieves post‑activity soreness. The Japanese‑style indoor baths offer a warm wooden ambience, while the open‑air bath faces seasonal rural and mountain vistas. With a gentle breeze and drifting steam, it washes away the heat and fatigue of rafting, restoring body and mind in the tranquillity of the countryside.

From the vibrant thrill of mountain rapids to the lazy healing of a rural onsen, the 2026 Gunma summer‑exclusive tour unlocks the most authentic Japanese summer relaxation.
※Friendly Reminder: Rafting may be cancelled temporarily due to weather or river water levels. Please be aware.
