Departing from Edinburgh, head north across the Firth of Forth to the Tuilyies Standing Stones, evoking the time‑travel markers from Outlander.
Next, explore Culross, a picturesque 17th‑century village that served as the filming location for Claire's herb garden and Cranesmuir Village.
You may choose to visit Doune Castle, also known as Castle Leoch, the ancestral home of Clan MacKenzie. The journey will pass by Stirling Castle, which you can explore on another trip.
In Linlithgow, enjoy lunch and visit Linlithgow Palace, which appears as Wentworth Prison in Outlander. Afterwards, head to Blackness Castle, portrayed as Fort William in the show, and take in the views of the Forth Bridges.
