Yingge Ceramics Museum (New Taipei City) is the first professional ceramic‑themed museum in Taiwan. It officially opened on 26 November 2000 and is dedicated to the collection, research, and international exchange of ceramic culture.
The museum building is uniquely designed, featuring a grey exterior made of fair‑faced concrete and steel framework. The high‑ceilinged space is complemented by large glass curtain walls, allowing natural light to enrich the texture of the exhibits. The cascading stone steps and water feature at the entrance further help to soothe visitors' minds.
The museum comprises five floors with a rich and practical layout: the ground floor houses permanent exhibitions, special exhibition halls, and a cultural merchandise shop; the second floor presents the development of Taiwanese ceramics through five major themes; the third floor is dedicated to annual special exhibitions; and the two basement levels feature experiential rooms, study rooms, a restaurant, etc., where visitors aged 4 and above can participate in ceramic DIY courses.
Here, you can not only experience the charm of ceramic culture but also enjoy the fun of playing with clay firsthand, making it an excellent travel destination that combines knowledge and entertainment.
