Jukuiju, a municipal designated historic site that must be visited in Wuri, Taichung, was built in 1920 with a century of history. It was the residence of a prominent local family, and its unique blend of Chinese and Western architecture is truly impressive! The traditional Minnan‑style three‑section compound is combined with a double‑storey Baroque‑style building, featuring red brick walls, swallowtail ridges, intricately carved corridors, and columns. The exquisite "Yingchuan" hall name decorations embody both historical charm and architectural artistic value, making a stroll through the space feel like travelling back in time. Admission is a mere hundred dollars, with half‑price discounts for Taichung residents, and the ticket price can be used for 50 dollars in park consumption, which is a steal. A must‑try is the hanfu and cheongsam rental at 400‑700 dollars, including professional hairstyling, paired with the historic site backdrop for high‑quality photo opportunities. Entry is by reservation only, with each session including a 15‑minute guided tour to learn about the profound symbolism of the Wenchang Star's blessings and academic prosperity. The venue also offers cultural and creative souvenirs for selection. Whether for a girls' photoshoot, a family outing, or a cultural experience, it's suitable—a must‑visit for a day trip in the Taichung suburbs!

The main structure was built around 1930, and every corner of Jukuiju embodies a design concept blending Chinese, Western, and Japanese elements.

This includes the parapet walls and arched arcades built with Minnan‑style red bricks.

Walk along the arcades on the first and second floors and listen to the stories of this century‑old mansion.

Jukuiju is also a paradise for stray cats—if you love furry friends, you must come.

Cheongsam|Vintage and modern cheongsam options available, all perfectly matching the style of Jukuiju.

Hanfu|Hanfu from various dynasties to fulfil your time‑travel dreams, with multiple sizes so you need not worry.

Cheongsam|For gentlemen, there are Zhongshan suits, mandarin jackets, military uniforms, and vintage suits—transform into a handsome figure in an instant!

Hanfu|Here comes the leading man of a period drama! Fulfill your whims of wielding swords and being a refined gentleman!
