Hiking Tips

(1) It is recommended to acclimatise to the high‑altitude, low‑oxygen environment in advance and become proficient in pacing during ascents.

(2) Confirm good health before registration, suitable for high mountain climbing and wilderness hiking. Do not register if you have heart disease, acrophobia, high blood pressure, pregnancy, or other conditions unsuitable for outdoor activities, or if you are too young or physically unable to complete the itinerary independently.

(3) High mountain climbing and wilderness hiking involve potential dangers; accidents may lead to injury or death. Please participate with caution.

(4) The high mountain environment is fragile. Strictly prohibit littering or dumping food waste. Please pack all rubbish in bags and carry it down the mountain to protect the forest.

(5) If any team member encounters a life‑threatening situation during the trip, the entire team must advance or retreat together. The climbing team constitutes a group of shared risk; violators may face legal liability.

(6) The guide will do their utmost to ensure the safety of team members. Injuries or deaths caused by personal negligence (e.g., inattention leading to a fall, slip, etc.) shall not be attributed to the Secret Mountain Hiking Club.

(7) Follow the guide's instructions throughout the activity; do not leave the team without permission. Considering personal physical fitness, safety, and the team's return time, the guide's instructions shall prevail. Unauthorised departure without heeding warnings shall result in the individual bearing all costs and legal responsibilities.

Cancellation Policy

(1) If you are late on the day of the activity or miss the train, causing delays, to protect the rights of other members, latecomers will be forfeited without waiting and no refund will be given.

Embark on a 3‑day‑3‑night hiking experience at Pingtung's Beidawu Mountain, leading you to conquer the last of Taiwan's Five Sacred Mountains! Standing at 3,092 metres, it is the highest peak in the southern section of the Central Mountain Range and the only mountain over 3,000 metres in southern Taiwan. Renowned as the 'Southern Taiwan Barrier,' it is also a sacred mountain for the Paiwan and Rukai tribes, rich in cultural heritage. This three‑day itinerary offers a relaxed and slow‑paced journey, eliminating the need to carry your own food and sleeping bags, and handling the cabin lottery for you, saving you the hassle so you can focus on the scenery. Along the way, enjoy a forest bath amidst the hemlock groves, chase the rolling sea of clouds at dawn in the 'Homeland of Clouds,' witness the stunning sunrise at the 'Land's End' from the summit, overlook the majestic cliffs of Xidori, and explore the remnants of the Japanese‑era Dawu Shrine. Spend your nights in the mountain cabins, chatting with fellow hikers, immersing yourself in a world away from the hustle and bustle. This is not just a test of your endurance but also an opportunity to embrace the grandeur of nature—a classic hiking route loved by both beginners and seasoned mountaineers!
