Event Overview

Located in Beipu Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan, Green World Ecological Farm is the largest subtropical rainforest ecological park in Asia, combining ecological conservation and agriculture. Green World consists of 6 major areas: Swan Lake, Adventure Park, Aquatic Plant Park, Bird Ecology Park, Butterfly Ecology Park, and Biodiversity Exploration Zone. Each area is home to a diverse range of plants and animals, allowing visitors to enjoy the tropical rainforest canopy walkway and providing an unforgettable ecological experience.

Introduction to Green World Ecological Farm Areas

Swan Lake is a natural lake inhabited by many swans, pelicans, geese, and ducks. Around the Mid‑Autumn Festival each year, various geese and ducks from Siberia migrate to this natural lake to rest, and return to Siberia around Children's Day the following year. Some geese and ducks that stay behind continue to breed their next generation here. The Adventure Park consists of 10 zones featuring many precious and rare species, such as cacti. Many of these cacti are over 100 years old and bloom 1 to 2 times annually, producing hundreds of thousands of colourful flowers that create a stunning sea of blooms. The Aquatic Plant Park is one of the largest aquatic plant parks in Asia, housing around 500 species of precious aquatic plants, including Taiwan yellow water lilies, Taiwan quillworts, and Egyptian papyrus, spanning submerged, floating‑leaved, emergent, and free‑floating varieties. The Bird Ecology Park is the most distinctive themed park in Green World. It simulates the birds' natural ecological environment, forming a natural aviary where hundreds of birds fly and forage around visitors amidst lush greenery, filling the air with bird songs for an immersive wilderness experience. The Butterfly Ecology Park is the largest butterfly park in Asia, featuring species such as atlas moths, swallowtail butterflies, and yellow butterflies. From mating, egg‑laying, pupation, and emergence, we witness the wonders of butterfly life. The Biodiversity Exploration Zone houses many unique creatures, such as legless lizards, piranhas, tree frogs, and geckos.

Green World Ecological Farm offers different ticket types based on social needs. Students from kindergarten, primary school, or junior high school, and those aged 65 or above are eligible for half‑price tickets. Those holding a disability handbook and their accompanying carer can purchase charity tickets. Residents of Xuejia District, or soon‑to‑be brides and grooms and their photographers, can enter for free. Green World Ecological Farm also offers other ticket discount packages. Toucans roam freely in the Bird Ecology Park's semi‑open environment, and you might even feel them fly right over your head!

At the farm, the adorable and playful alpacas go on a walk three times a day—this animal, a firm favourite among children, attracts many visitors to come and watch.

Swan Lake is surrounded by lush greenery and waters, with pelicans and swans often stopping by the lakeside—an ideal spot to breathe in fresh air and observe the animals.
