(1) Children aged 0‑1 are free of charge;

(2) One adult with a rail pass may bring up to two children aged 1 to 5 free of charge, provided the children do not occupy seats; from the third child onwards, a child rail pass must be purchased for each child;

(3) JR Pass is only applicable to non‑Japanese passport holders with a “Temporary Visitor” visa. Non‑Japanese passport holders with permanent residency in Japan are not eligible to use it;

(4) Please obtain the “Temporary Visitor” stamp/sticker upon entry to legally use the JR Pass. If you use automated gates, you will not be able to obtain the aforementioned stamp/sticker;
