Important Notes

Sydney Zoo is a freely explorable attraction, with animal feeding talks and shows held throughout the day.

Please note that in Sydney and other parts of New South Wales, visitors are not allowed to cuddle koalas. However, Sydney Zoo offers visitors the opportunity to get as close as possible to the koalas.

Please note that crowds are heavy on weekends and public holidays (11:00‑14:00), so we recommend allowing ample time for your visit.

Unique Advantages & Core Highlights

Hidden in the bustling heart of Sydney city lies a wonderland that immerses you in Australia's raw natural ecology — WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo. As the most popular family attraction in Darling Harbour, this unique indoor zoo lets you meet Australia's most iconic animals up close without having to travel far. Whether you're on a short city trip or a deep nature exploration, this place will bring you an unforgettable wildlife experience.

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is located in the heart of Darling Harbour, right next to the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and Madame Tussauds, making it extremely convenient. It is the perfect starting point to explore Australia's unique wildlife, allowing you to get up close with kangaroos, koalas, wombats, platypuses and other distinctive Australian animals right in the middle of the bustling city.

The zoo features an innovative indoor design that perfectly recreates a variety of Australian natural environments, from tropical rainforests to arid deserts, from canyon flights to midnight mysteries. Nine themed zones each have their own character, offering you a full‑spectrum sensory feast.

① Themed Zones & Star Animals

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo has carefully designed multiple themed zones, each recreating a different Australian ecological environment. In the Kangaroo Walkabout, you can observe kangaroos and wallabies leaping gracefully, and even hand‑feed these gentle creatures.

Stepping into Gum Tree Valley, don't forget to look up and spot the koalas resting among the branches — their lazy munching on eucalyptus leaves is absolutely endearing. The Devil's Lair zone gives you a chance to see the Tasmanian devil, and learn about the zoo's efforts to protect this endangered species.

One of the zoo's most fascinating features is the platypus exhibit. These mysterious creatures are one of only five species of egg‑laying mammals in the world, and at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo you can observe their unique appearance and behaviour up close.

And the massive saltwater crocodile "Rocky" in the Kakadu Gorge is truly awe‑inspiring, letting you feel the raw power of Australia's wild world.

② Special Activities & Interactive Experiences

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo not only lets you observe animals, but also offers a variety of unforgettable interactive experiences. You can join the special "Breakfast with a Koala" activity, enjoying intimate time with these fluffy stars before the morning crowds arrive.

The zoo also offers koala photo opportunities, with professional photographers capturing precious moments with Australia's most beloved animal.

Daily scheduled animal feeding shows and keeper talks allow you to gain a deeper understanding of animal behaviour and conservation knowledge.

Don't forget to collect your free Digi Photo Pass to download unlimited digital photos taken around the park, preserving wonderful memories.

The latest "WILD Encounters" program gives you the chance to interact face‑to‑face with iconic Australian animals such as the cassowary, experiencing an unprecedented adventure.
