The Nankai Electric Railway express Rapi:t is the flagship train connecting Kansai International Airport with central Osaka (Namba Station), renowned for its combination of speed and comfort. The journey takes approximately 34 minutes direct, with all seats reserved and premium facilities, making it the preferred mode of transport for business travellers and tourists alike. Operating daily from 06:00 to 23:00 with departures every 30 minutes, it seamlessly connects flights with city itineraries.

Why book in advance?
1. Guaranteed seating to avoid delays: Rapi:t seats are limited and often fully booked during peak travel seasons and holidays. Booking in advance secures your seat and avoids itinerary changes due to tickets being sold out on‑site.
2. Save time and travel efficiently: Through the e‑ticket system, you can receive a QR code directly after purchase without queuing at the airport to buy tickets or exchange physical ones, reducing waiting time and enabling a 'scan‑and‑ride' experience.
3. Flexible itinerary adjustments: E‑tickets are valid for up to 31 days and support online rescheduling or refunds (subject to platform rules), offering convenience for unexpected plan changes.
4. Exclusive benefits and discounts: Some platforms offer booking perks such as one‑day Osaka Metro and Bus passes, Namba shopping district discounts, and more — booking in advance unlocks added value.

How to collect and use your e‑ticket (QR code)
1. Online purchase: Complete payment via the official app, partner platforms, or designated links. A confirmation e‑mail containing the e‑ticket with QR code will be sent to your registered e‑mail address.
2. Using the e‑ticket:
Upon arriving at Kansai International Airport, head directly to the Nankai Electric Railway ticket gates.
Open the QR code on your phone and scan it at the dedicated ticket gate machine to enter.
Confirm the platform and departure time (shown on screens or signage), then board the train by scanning your QR code.
3. Key tips:
It is recommended to download and save the QR code offline in advance to avoid network issues.
If you have not received an e‑ticket, you will need to visit the 'Nankai Staffed Ticket Office counter' to exchange your booking confirmation for a physical ticket, which may take time.

Child tickets and special ticket types must be handled according to platform guidelines.
Carriage experience and luggage storage guide
1. Carriage design:
All seats are reserved across a 6‑car formation: cars 1–4 are standard carriages (2+2 seating layout), while cars 5–6 feature 'Super Seats' (1+2 arrangement) offering more spacious seating, ideal for families or travellers needing workspace.
Aviation‑grade amenities: Seats feature ergonomic design and are equipped with power outlets (USB/AC ports) to meet device charging needs. The windows feature the same curved design as aircraft windows for an expansive view.
Multilingual service: On‑board announcements are provided in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean to help prevent missing your stop.

2. Luggage storage options:
Large luggage area: Dedicated floor‑level luggage racks are located at both ends of each carriage, fitted with securing chains, suitable for suitcases of 28 inches and above to ensure safety and stability during the journey.

Small luggage space: Aviation‑spec overhead racks are provided above seats for backpacks, hand‑carried cases, and similar items, at the same height as aircraft overhead bins for quick and easy access.

Convenience for carry‑on items: Vending machines (offering drinks and snacks) are available in the carriages, and hooks beside the seats allow you to hang personal bags — thoughtful details that balance practicality with comfort.
Additional advantages and practical information
1. Seamless transfers: Upon arriving at Namba Station, you can easily connect to Osaka Metro and buses to quickly reach core shopping districts such as Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori.
2. Emergency assurance: In the event of service suspension due to force majeure such as typhoons, unused e‑tickets can be fully refunded at the airport or Namba Station counters within 7 days.
3. Language‑friendly service: The ticketing system and station signage support Chinese, and staff provide multilingual assistance to eliminate language barriers.
Booking Rapi:t tickets in advance, combined with the easy e‑ticket process and premium carriage experience, can significantly enhance travel efficiency and comfort. Whether for business trips or sightseeing, its precise schedules, user‑friendly amenities, and flexible ticketing policies make it the golden transport choice between Kansai Airport and central Osaka. We recommend confirming the purchase platform's policies in advance and pairing it with Osaka市内 transport passes for a seamless travel experience.
