Attraction Highlights

Huangteng Gorge Tianmen Suspension Bridge, also known as Huangteng Gorge Glass Suspension Bridge, is located within the Huangteng Gorge Scenic Area. Built on the steep mountain terrain of the gorge, it is a glass bridge project that integrates sound, light, glass, and water features.

1.jpg

It is supported by three giant steel‑reinforced concrete pillars, with an appearance resembling two cross‑shaped rackets standing on the mountaintop, pointing straight into the sky. It is vividly described by visitors as a "giant racket."

2.jpg

The Tianmen Suspension Bridge extends approximately 368 metres in a straight line from the mountain, with the outer single‑pillar cantilevered ring measuring 168 metres in length alone. Most visitors come to the glass bridge for a thrilling high‑altitude experience. The outer edge of the suspension bridge hangs above the rafting channel, with a vertical height of over 500 metres from the ground. The stunning altitude difference and transparent glass offer visitors an endless sense of excitement, truly making every step a thrilling one.

3.jpg

Standing on the Tianmen Suspension Bridge and looking down through the glass, every scene in the gorge is clearly visible. To the north, you can enjoy the primitive gorge scenery of the Huangteng Gorge rafting area; to the south, you can see the urban skyline of Qingyuan City with its towering buildings; and to the west, you can witness the brilliant sunset glow painting the sky. On foggy days, the entire suspension bridge stands above the clouds, a truly magnificent sight, making you feel as if you have stepped into a fairyland at the gates of heaven.

4.jpg

In addition, the design team of the suspension bridge fully showcased their creativity by installing a musical lighting and water curtain system on the ring‑shaped suspension bridge at an altitude of 500 metres. This forms a circular musical waterfall with a total circumference of 168 metres. During the day, it not only brings visitors the stunning sensation of a "torrent plunging down three thousand feet" but also allows them to admire the rainbows formed by sunlight shining on the circular waterfall. As night falls, when the lights of the circular musical waterfall are switched on, the dynamic performance of over 2,000 dazzling lamps creates a spectacular light show. The interplay of lights on the suspension bridge at night transforms the entire scenic area into a dreamlike world, offering visitors an incredibly breathtaking visual experience.
