Product Details

Aquaria KLCC is located on the ground floor of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Construction began in 2003, and it was fully opened to the public in August 2005. As one of the largest aquariums in Southeast Asia, it covers an area of 60,000 square feet and serves as a large‑scale museum themed around marine life.930-2.jpg

Featured Exhibition Zones

• Underwater Tunnel: One of the aquarium's highlights, the 90‑metre‑long underwater tunnel features a moving walkway, allowing visitors to admire sharks, sea turtles, rays and other large marine creatures gliding overhead, as if immersed in an underwater world.930-很低隧道.jpg

• Coral Reef Zone: This zone showcases a variety of corals in different shapes and vibrant colours, along with numerous marine species that coexist with the reefs, such as clownfish and butterflyfish, vividly presenting the rich diversity of the coral reef ecosystem.930-珊瑚礁.jpg

• Tropical Rainforest Zone: This zone features a round transparent aquarium tank standing 5.3 metres tall, with large tree roots placed inside. Many freshwater fish swim around the roots, recreating the river ecosystem of the tropical rainforest and showcasing a variety of rainforest creatures such as otters, lizards and snakes.930-热带雨林展区.jpg

• Freshwater Fish Zone: This zone brings together freshwater fish from around the world, such as grass carp, common carp, snakehead and Asian arowana, giving visitors an insight into the diversity of fish species in freshwater ecosystems.

• Jellyfish Zone: Home to jellyfish of various colours and forms, they resemble dancing sprites under the illumination of lights, creating a dreamlike visual spectacle.930-水母区.jpg

Interactive Experiences

Inside the aquarium, there is an interactive touch pool where visitors can personally touch gentle marine creatures such as starfish, sea urchins and bamboo sharks, and feel their unique textures. In addition, the aquarium regularly hosts educational demonstrations and feeding sessions, such as watching divers feed sea turtles, stingrays and sharks, allowing visitors to learn about marine life while having fun.930-触摸池.jpg930-潜水员喂食.jpg

Aquaria KLCC is not only a tourist attraction but also an institution dedicated to marine conservation and education. Through various educational and research programmes, it conveys to visitors the importance of protecting marine ecosystems and encourages the public to care about and preserve marine life. At the same time, it provides a place for local residents and tourists to learn about marine creatures and get closer to nature, enriching people's cultural lives.930-1.jpg
