Jeju Island Art Museum is Jeju's first permanent immersive media art exhibition hall, opening at the end of September 2020 in Aewol, Jeju.
The Jeju Art Museum has upgraded and transformed a magnificent space previously used as a speaker manufacturing factory, featuring 16 colourful media art exhibitions composed of light and sound based on the concept of the island.
With eternal nature as the theme, these works provide a fully immersive experience with intense visual impact, sentimental sound, and elegant fragrance.
Release all your senses and step into the eternal natural space offered by the Jeju Island Art Museum.

The universe, harmony, and the symbol of the cosmos; petals blown by the wind transform into brilliant colours, growing vigorously. The infinite cycle of the universe and the wind creates a new, orderly cosmos.

A mysterious and powerful life force blossoms in the water. The camellias continuously bloom and fall gracefully in the water, enchanting the audience like a mysterious fantasy.

The energy of life blossoms within the ice. The camellias, blooming unceasingly through the solid ice, radiate infinite vitality through their own strength.

A space that creates the delicate process of flowers blooming beautifully through time‑lapse photography. Through the afterimages of petals and contrasting colours, experience the history of flowers from a new perspective. A flower becomes increasingly clear, transforming the space.

A garden of light embodying the characteristics of Jeju. Listen to the wind of Jeju, stroll along the sunlit forest paths, admire the Jeju scenery seen from modern architecture and the works depicting the nature of Jeju life (Hong Il‑hwa). You will encounter a newly interpreted image of Jeju through your imagination. Painter Hong Il‑hwa is an artist who explores nature, documenting his experiences in the forest during his time living in Jeju's Gotjawal.
