City introduction

Geneva

Geneva is the international "City of Peace", home to the United Nations European headquarters, located on the shores of Lake Geneva. The city's landmark is the 140-metre-high Jet d'Eau. The Flower Clock in the Jardin Anglais is a symbol of the watchmaking capital. The Palace of Nations, St. Pierre Cathedral and the Old Town are rich in history and culture. The surroundings offer views of Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps. The cuisine blends French and Swiss flavours, with must-try dishes including fondue, chocolate fondue, Geneva cream of mushroom soup, and a variety of lake fish.
