Aso City

Aso-shi, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, is located within the Aso volcanic caldera basin. It is a famous tourist destination renowned for the spectacular active volcano Nakadake, the vast Kusasenri grassland, the scenic views of Daikanbo, and the historic Aso Shrine. The area features unique volcanic terrain and pleasant scenery throughout the four seasons, and is designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
