Fukushima Prefecture is the gateway to Tohoku, offering magnificent scenery in all four seasons. The Bandai-Azuma Skyline offers panoramic views of Mt. Bandai and Lake Inawashiro (Mirror Lake). Ouchi-juku is a well-preserved post station from the Edo period with thatched-roof houses. Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle (Crane Castle) bears witness to the history of the Boshin War.
