Shenzhen, abbreviated as Shen, also known as Pengcheng, is a sub-provincial city in Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the four first-tier cities in China, one of the core cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and one of China's megacities. Shenzhen is currently one of the most skyscraper-concentrated cities in the world. As of July 2019, the total number of skyscrapers over 200 metres in Shenzhen reached 82, ranking first among all cities globally. Meanwhile, the total number of skyscrapers over 150 metres in Shenzhen is 222, ranking first in Mainland China and third worldwide, far surpassing Shanghai, which ranks second in Mainland China with 159 such buildings. Shenzhen's 5A-level tourist attractions include the OCT Tourism Area, comprising Window of the World, Splendid China, China Folk Culture Village and Happy Valley, as well as the Mission Hills Leisure Tourism Resort. The 4A-level tourist attractions include Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden, Shenzhen Safari Park, among others. On the eve of the 2011 Universidade, the Shenzhen Bay Coastal Leisure Park was upgraded. Built along the coastline, the park stretches a total length of 15 kilometres. The 'Chung Ying Street' in Sha Tau Kok of Yantian District, the Eastern Overseas Chinese Town, Dameisha, Xiaomeisha, the Sea World and the Dapeng Peninsula are key tourist areas in eastern Shenzhen. Hongfa Temple and Fenghuang Mountain are renowned Buddhist cultural tourism spots in Shenzhen, attracting numerous tourists and worshippers during holidays. Shenzhen also boasts a considerable number of historical and cultural relics, such as the Dapeng Fortress, the Tomb of the Young Song Emperor, the Left and Right Forts at Chiwan, and the Tin Hau Temple.
