Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is located in the center of Hiroshima and was designed and constructed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange in 1954. The park is lush with greenery, cherry blossoms in spring, and two rivers flow around the park, a stark contrast to the severe trauma caused by the atomic bombing of World War II. In the park, there are monuments to the victims of the atomic bombing, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, etc. The Peace Memorial Ceremony is also held on August 6 every year.
