Exploring Miami Beach on the Gold Coast: Location, Facilities and Coastal Walks
Miami Beach is located at Miami, Queensland 4220, positioned between Nobby Beach to the north and a rocky headland to the south known as Miami Hill or North Burleigh Headland.
Key Features and Activities
Visitors can climb the rainbow staircase at the southern end of the beach to reach Mick Schamburg Park for views stretching toward Surfers Paradise. At low tide, walkers can navigate around the headland to North Burleigh.
Swimming is permitted in patrolled areas, and swimmers are advised to stay between the flags because of occasional rips, while the headland provides some shelter from southerly breezes. Surfers can find breaks on the outer bar during favorable offshore winds.
Amenities and Transport Paths
The Gold Coast Oceanway runs parallel to the beach for walking and cycling. The beachfront park features pine trees, viewing platforms, toilets, beach showers, barbecues, picnic tables, playgrounds, and beach volleyball nets. The location is designated as family friendly.
