Northern Gold Coast
In Hope Island, Rise Bakery sits in Sanctuary Cove with outdoor marina-facing dining and a Champagne Bar. The French bakery offers croissants, baguettes, Danish pastries and sourdough, alongside an almond croissant speciality. Further inland in Oxenford, Terrarium operates as a local café with a dog-friendly outdoor dining area, using coffee from Q Roasters and sourdough from Burleigh Baker. Its menu includes a mushroom avocado smash with chimichurri, roasted tomatoes and dukkah, alongside French honeycomb toast topped with maple bacon and strawberries. Near the Broadwater in Labrador, Daark Espresso provides specialty coffee and a large breakfast menu featuring options such as Moroccan lamb eggs benedict, a crab, avocado and caviar benedict, and Southern fried chicken on cornbread waffles. This venue accepts group bookings of four to ten people.
Central and Southern Gold Coast
In Southport, Cardamom Pod at Brickworks serves plant-based and organic vegetarian dishes with rotating weekend specials, Buddha bowls, acai bowls, and a breakfast platter loaded with sourdough, avocado, vegetables, potato fritters, mushrooms, a bircher muesli pot and a super greens shot. In Varsity Lakes, Blackboard Coffee supplies local and regional cafes with its house blend and roast varietals, while its local outpost serves a seasonal breakfast and brunch menu featuring items like peanut butter and jelly French toast with banoffee gelato and hazelnut praline, and truffle scrambled eggs with saltbush and goats cheese. Near the Broadbeach surf, Elk Espresso offers outdoor umbrella-shaded dining where dogs are welcome, serving seasonal dishes including matcha panna cotta with strawberry caviar, yuzu yoghurt and granola, plus daily boozy brunches running from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. In Burleigh Heads, Palm Springs provides a Californian-inspired menu featuring breakfast burritos, breakfast tacos, cold-pressed juices, and ginger-pressed juice. Also located in Burleigh Heads, Paddock Bakery occupies a cottage with an outdoor garden seating area, known for baked goods and a breakfast menu featuring a bacon benny bagel and doughnut French toast.
