National Gallery in London to host major Renoir and Love exhibition featuring UK debut of Bal du Moulin de la Galette
London is set to host a major new exhibition dedicated to the French Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Titled 'Renoir and Love', the showcase opens at the National Gallery on October 3, 2026, and will run until January 31, 2027.
Organised in collaboration with the Musée d'Orsay in Paris and Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, the exhibition brings together over 50 works created between the mid-1860s and the mid-1880s. The collection explores themes of tenderness, love, and intimacy through paintings depicting everyday human connections.

A key highlight of the exhibition is the UK debut of Renoir's seminal 1876 painting 'Bal du Moulin de la Galette', on loan from the Musée d'Orsay. This marks the first time the famous artwork has ever been displayed in the UK.
