The Martin Place Christmas Markets are back for 2026, running right up to Christmas Eve beneath the City of Sydney's giant Christmas tree in the heart of the CBD.

The markets open on Saturday 28 November and operate Wednesdays to Saturdays from 11am to 9:15pm, before trading daily throughout the final week leading up to Christmas. Entry is free.

Stalls and Offerings

Visitors can explore 55 stalls featuring unique gifts, handmade items and one-off treasures not found in regular city shops, along with gourmet food and festive treats.

Workshops and Activities

Free workshops take place every Saturday, including:

  • Christmas wreath making

  • A cooking with leftovers for Christmas class

  • A kids' sewing workshop with Slogue

  • Christmas card decorating with The Social Outfit

From the second Saturday onward, the Sustainable Saturdays initiative requires all hot food to be served in reusable containers supplied by Cercle to reduce single-use waste.

Live music, carols and a visit from Santa complete the festive atmosphere at Martin Place.
