SaveWereldmuseum Rotterdam, in collaboration with the Ellae Foundation, is hosting an artist talk and finissage event for the exhibition Art She Crafted. The event takes place on the ground floor in the Greenroom.
Event Programme
16:00: Doors open and a guided tour of the exhibition with curator Rajae El Mouhandiz and participating artists.
17:00: Introduction by Rajae El Mouhandiz.
17:10 - 18:30: Conversation with the artists, moderated by Rajae El Mouhandiz, followed by a public Q&A.
18:30: End of the programme.
Admission and Tickets
The event is free to attend with a valid museum ticket. Bookings can be made online through the Wereldmuseum Rotterdam ticketing platform.
Exhibition Overview
Curated by Rajae El Mouhandiz, Art She Crafted features a range of art forms including paintings, manuscripts, textiles, fashion, design, photography, and installations. The exhibition examines the role of women as makers, patrons, collectors, donors, and innovators. Participating artists featured in the exhibition include Malak Mattar, Sophia Kacimi, Maïmouna Guerresi, and Thandiwe Muriu.
