Japan's Dino-A-Live brings 15 life-size animatronic dinosaurs to Sentosa this December
A giant Jurassic experience is headed to Singapore. Dino-A-Live, the celebrated Japanese live dinosaur show, is bringing its flagship production Dinosaur Odyssey to Resorts World Sentosa from December 3 to 6 — the troupe's first large-scale indoor show outside its home country.

Over 25,000 people attended the Japanese premiere, and the Singapore run is projected to draw more than 30,000 guests.
The roughly 70-minute show lets you get up close to 15 astonishingly lifelike, full-scale dinosaurs. The roster features iconic species such as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and Stegosaurus, alongside lesser-known ones like Ankylosaurus, Utahraptor, Allosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Suchomimus and Dakotaraptor. Far from static displays or 2D projections, the creatures move and roam freely around the arena, within arm's reach of the audience.
What makes the dinosaurs look so real is Dino-A-Live's patented Dino-Techne mechanical suits. Built by the Japanese firm On-Art over more than two decades, the suits reproduce lifelike muscle movement and physical presence. Theatrical music, dance, projection visuals and nature-inspired effects — wind, plants, flowers and swimming fish — heighten the illusion, making you feel transported to prehistory rather than watching a stage show.
Aside from the main performance at the Resorts World Convention Centre, you can browse the Dino Mart, stocked with over 100 official Japanese merchandise items, rare fossil replicas and Singapore-exclusive collectibles, or drop by the Dino Café at Senmo Coffee for a limited-edition dinosaur-themed menu.
For an even closer encounter, a T-Rex photo experience is offered as a $30 add-on, capped at 100 slots per show and up to eight guests per photo. You'll leave with a professional photo alongside a 12-metre Tyrannosaurus Rex and an Edokko Dinosaur Mini Plate (Flower Dragon, worth $10).
