The Vietnamese Cultural Parade Returns to Paris's 13th Arrondissement in September 2026

Postponed from June due to the heatwave, the much-anticipated Vietnamese cultural parade in Paris's 13th arrondissement has finally secured its new date. The free parade will now take place on Saturday 12 September 2026, tracing its original route from avenue d'Ivry to place d'Italie through the heart of Europe's largest Asian district.

Organisers chose to move the event to autumn to keep participants and spectators safe during the summer heat. The good news: the celebration is not cancelled, just postponed — and it promises just as much colour as before.

Vietnamese Parade in the 13th: Route, Times and Practical Info

The procession sets off from 44 avenue d'Ivry (reachable via Tolbiac or Porte d'Ivry on metro line 7) and heads to place d'Italie, from 2pm to 6pm. Entry is free and open to all, with no reservation needed. Carried by several generations of French people of Vietnamese origin and organised under the aegis of 25 Franco-Vietnamese associations, this is above all a grand popular festival inviting everyone to discover the richness of Vietnamese culture.

We wholeheartedly recommend it to families, the curious and photography lovers, who will find plenty to capture among the shimmering costumes and rhythmic dances. One simple tip before you go: bring water and sun protection, since the procession takes place outdoors in the afternoon.

If you love grand processions, two more events await this autumn: a float parade in the colours of India will cross Paris in September 2026, while a colourful floating parade will travel along the Seine at the same time. Plenty to keep the celebration going long after the Vietnamese procession.
