Boryeong Mud Festival 2026: Korea's Ultimate Summer Beach Party Returns Bigger Than Ever
The wildly popular Boryeong Mud Festival has made its triumphant return to Daecheon Beach in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do Province. Now in its 29th year, this iconic summer celebration runs through August 9, transforming the beachfront and Mud Expo Square into a sprawling playground of mud, music, and mayhem.

This year's edition has significantly expanded its interactive offerings. The new Mud Experience Zone and the high-energy "Mud Mob Scene" party lead the lineup of fresh attractions. At Mud Expo Plaza, dedicated zones for the general public, families, and a children's water park ensure visitors of every age can join the fun. Making its debut, the Mud Cask Zone features 20 self-massage mud tubs within Mud Plaza, while a brand-new infinity pool lets revellers soak in mud with panoramic ocean views.

The festivities keep rolling after sunset. "Mud on the Beach," a nightly outdoor performance series, kicks off at 8 p.m. at Mud Plaza on Daecheon Beach. From Friday through Sunday, the outdoor stage at Sunset Plaza hosts mud busking sessions and open-stage performances.
The entertainment lineup is stacked: K-Hip-Hop Festival Part 1 (July 31) and Part 2 (August 1); Mud Song Festival (August 2); Mud Rock Festa (August 7); and Big Mud Show Parts 1 and 2 (August 8). Capping it all off on August 9, the TV Chosun Super Concert paired with a spectacular drone light show promises an unforgettable finale to this year's mud-drenched extravaganza.
