The sight of children dashing through fountains and getting delightfully drenched is a quintessential Korean summer scene. These splash pads, naturally integrated into spacious parks, are also hugely popular for family outings. Top picks include: Seoul Forest in Seongdong-gu, host of the Seoul International Garden Show with over six million visitors; Seoul Plaza in Jung-gu, a green oasis in the heart of downtown; World Cup Park in Mapo-gu, the city's premier ecological space in the southwest; and Buramsan Healing Town in Nowon-gu, featuring a family-friendly butterfly garden that promotes ecology learning.
