Singapore becomes the 11th city worldwide and the very first in Asia to host this touring exhibition, which opened its doors on 23 July 2026. Here's a complete guide to what awaits visitors.

What Is the Formula 1 Exhibition?

This immersive experience traces the 76-year legacy of Formula 1, having previously toured London, Vienna, Buenos Aires, and most recently Melbourne. Making its Asian debut just ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, the exhibition takes visitors through seven specially curated rooms chronicling the sport's evolution.

Beyond the rich history on display, visitors can customise their own racing helmet, celebrate a podium victory, and experience the Marina Bay Street Circuit behind the wheel of an F1 simulator.

Exhibition Highlights

Legendary Racing Machines

The journey begins with Once Upon A Time In Formula 1, where visitors encounter some of the most iconic cars in motorsport history. The Williams FW15, designed by Adrian Newey and raced to victory by Alain Prost at the 1993 South African Grand Prix, commands immediate attention. Equally compelling is the Toyota TF109 — the Japanese manufacturer's final F1 contender — which claimed second place at the 2009 Singapore Grand Prix with Timo Glock at the wheel. Rounding out the collection is the Lotus E21, a 2013-season contender that secured a Singapore podium finish driven by 2007 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen.

Revolution By Design

This installation explores the technological evolution of F1 machinery. Visitors can examine dismantled components, including the McLaren MCL36A's front wing and Lando Norris' 2021 race seat. The revolutionary Lotus 25 — the sport's first fully stressed monocoque chassis — stands as a testament to Jim Clark's 14 Grand Prix victories.

The centrepiece of this room is the BAR Honda 005, designed by Geoff Willis and famously driven by Jenson Button to the team's highest-ever finish.

Design Lab & Red Bull RB7

The Design Lab reveals what lies beneath the bodywork, showcasing individual components from Pirelli tyre technology to aerodynamic systems. The undisputed star, however, is the Red Bull RB7 — Adrian Newey's masterpiece that carried Sebastian Vettel to 11 Grand Prix victories and his second consecutive Drivers' Championship in 2011, including a dominant Singapore win.

Drivers & Duels

Over 50 racing helmets line the walls of this gallery, alongside race suits from champions including Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and Max Verstappen. Interactive stations invite visitors to design their own helmet from scratch — choosing colours, decals, and personalisation — before saving the design via QR code. A podium simulator lets guests don their favourite team's colours and experience the thrill of a first-place finish.

Survival Room & Pit Wall

The Survival Room revisits Romain Grosjean's miraculous escape from the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix crash, displaying actual debris alongside the driver's boots and gloves. In Pit Wall, a five-minute immersive film spanning F1's 76-year history plays across three walls.

Singapore Drive

An exclusive installation honours the Lion City's contribution to motorsport since hosting Formula 1's first-ever night race in 2008. Sebastian Vettel — crowned "The Lion of Singapore" for his eight podium finishes here — has his Ferrari suit on display. The gallery also spotlights homegrown talent including F3 driver Christian Ho and Kabir Anurag, the first Singaporean recruited into Alpine's driver development programme.

Gift Shop & Racing Simulator

The exhibition gift shop — open even to non-ticket holders — offers official driver merchandise and books on F1 history. For those craving hands-on adrenaline, the Fastest Lap Racing Simulator ($20 add-on) recreates the Marina Bay Circuit over seven minutes. Anyone taller than 130cm can participate, no driving licence required.

Visitor Information

Tickets start at $29 for children and $49 for adults, with student concessions from $40. All tickets are available through Ticketek, with Standard, Peak, and Flexi session options. The Pole Position package ($111) bundles a Flexi Ticket with an exhibition mug, tote bag, fast-track entry, digital photo package, lanyard, and simulator access.

The exhibition is located at Gardens by the Bay, between Satay by the Bay and Marina Barrage. The nearest MRT station is Gardens by the Bay (Exit 1). Parking is available at Satay by the Bay and Marina Barrage. A practical tip: there are no public toilets within the exhibition venue, so plan accordingly before entering.
