Madrid's big summer street parties now have their programme. Fourteen straight days of concerts, activities and plenty of chotis dancing.
The centre of Madrid will host its three most iconic street festivals from 4 to 16 August 2026: San Cayetano, San Lorenzo and Virgen de la Paloma. Fourteen days of live music, processions, workshops, lemonade and the traditional chotis dance, spread across squares and streets in neighbourhoods like Lavapies, La Latina and Las Vistillas. All events will feature sign language interpretation.
Before the official kick-off, Sunday 26 July sees the 44th San Lorenzo Popular Race followed by the Destino San Cayetano 2026 micro-concert final.
San Cayetano Festival (4-7 August)
The Rastro and Lavapies open the festival cycle with San Cayetano. Main stages will be at Plaza del General Vara de Rey and Calle de Ribera de Curtidores.
Tuesday 4 August
Giants and Big-Heads parade at 7:30pm, official opening address at 8pm. Raya Real performs at 9:30pm at Plaza del General Vara de Rey, while The Zona Rock Band plays at Ribera de Curtidores. Free lemonade on Calle del Oso from 7pm to midnight with live brass band.
Wednesday 5 August
Chotis dance masterclass at 6:30pm on Calle del Oso. Evening concerts by Jarana and La Fiesta at 9:30pm on both main stages, with DJ sets until 1am.

Thursday 6 August
The San Cayetano highlight: Solea Morente performs at 9:30pm at Plaza del General Vara de Rey. Rata By Vibra Mahou plays at Ribera de Curtidores. Morning musical instrument workshop by Lavapies merchants.
Friday 7 August
Religious events day: Mass at 7pm followed by the San Cayetano procession at 8pm. Montoya and Carmona 'La Juerga Flamenca' perform at 9:30pm. DJ sessions until 2am.
San Lorenzo Festival (8-11 August)
The heart of these festivities beats in Plaza de Arturo Barea in Lavapies.
Saturday 8 August
Water battle at 6pm, followed by a tribute to Sabina by Tributo La Penultima Sabinera at 9pm. DJ Paulo until 2am.
Monday 10 August
San Lorenzo's central day: Mass at 7pm and procession at 8pm from San Lorenzo Church. Metroole performs at 9:30pm. Free traditional lemonade on Calle del Olivar.
La Paloma Festival (13-16 August)
The festival series concludes with La Paloma. Celtas Cortos and Miss Caffeina headline the free concerts bringing Madrid's summer street party season to a spectacular close.
