With an open‑date ticket, you can conveniently explore this cultural treasure. Although the name may be difficult to pronounce, the museum's collection is undoubtedly outstanding.

It spans several centuries of art history, featuring iconic works by famous artists such as Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Picasso. Start with medieval art on the top floor and trace the history from the Renaissance to Impressionism, Expressionism, and Pop Art.

On each floor, you will experience the dynamic evolution of art movements, making this museum an unforgettable cultural experience.

The currently exhibited Terraphilia is a special temporary exhibition in collaboration with TBA21–Thyssen‑Bornemisza Art Contemporary, aiming to explore the profound emotional and ethical connections between us and the Earth and its diverse life forms. The exhibition features about 100 works from the Thyssen‑Bornemisza, Carmen Thyssen, and TBA21 collections, by artists including Joachim Patinir, Wassily Kandinsky, Natalia Goncharova, and Dineo Seshee Bopape, spanning five centuries of artistic expression.

Through seven intertwining themes such as mythology, cosmology, ecology, and spirituality, Terraphilia invites visitors to rethink humanity's place in the natural world. It offers a visionary experience rooted in interspecies kinship and planetary care, positioning art as a guide for transformative thinking in the face of today's environmental and social challenges.

Important Notes

Paseo del Arte Museum Pass Information:

When visiting the Prado Museum and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, you need to exchange the voucher at the ticket office. However, when visiting the Thyssen‑Bornemisza Museum, you can present the voucher directly after purchase. You have the flexibility to choose the order in which you visit the Thyssen, Prado, and Reina Sofía museums, simply by showing the e‑ticket on your smartphone. Please note that visitors under 18 years old can enter all three museums included in the pass for free. However, to obtain free tickets, visitors need to go to the ticket office of each respective museum. The Paseo del Arte Pass is valid for one year from the date of issuance at the ticket office, allowing one visit to each museum.

Please note that the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía is closed on Tuesdays.

The Thyssen‑Bornemisza Museum offers free admission on Mondays, so the museum will not accept the Paseo del Arte Pass. Visitors need to queue normally and collect free tickets.

The Prado Museum and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía are open free of charge for the last two hours before closing every day, so the museums will not accept the Paseo del Arte Pass. Visitors need to queue normally and collect free tickets.

The three included museums do not need to be visited on the same day. The date you select when booking refers to the date you exchange the pass voucher.
