【Exhibition Overview】

    The Hamburg Maritime Exhibition, abbreviated as SMM, is currently one of the most influential shipbuilding and maritime trade and technology trading platforms worldwide.

    Founded in 1963, the exhibition is the most international and representative professional exhibition for shipbuilding and marine machinery, highly recognised by 96% of exhibitors. In recent years, the number of exhibitors, the number of buyer visitors, and the transaction value at the exhibition have all continued to grow substantially.

    As a globally leading maritime exhibition, SMM enjoys a strong reputation in the industry for its substantial exhibition scale, high-calibre participating enterprises, the latest industry technologies, and diverse exchange activities. The 2024 edition is expected to feature over 2,100 international industry enterprises, with approximately one-tenth of the exhibitors coming from Asia.

    Following the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chinese exhibitors have also made a strong return to this exhibition:

    - 46 Chinese enterprises have confirmed independent participation, including China State Shipbuilding Corporation, Headway Technology Group, and Sunrui Marine Environment Engineering Co., Ltd.

    - The exhibition also features three China National Pavilions, with a total exhibition area of 1,500 square metres.

    In addition to Chinese enterprises, this edition also brings together top European maritime technology companies, including MAN Energy Solutions, ABB, Kongsberg Maritime, Rolls-Royce, Wärtsilä, and Siemens, all of which will showcase their latest innovations.

    Under the theme of "Driving the Maritime Transition", this edition will place special focus on two key areas: maritime energy transformation and digitalisation. A number of highly attractive professional conferences will also be held during the exhibition, offering participants extensive opportunities for industry networking.
